Student Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Female Teacher in KEEA

A student in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) area of the Central Region has been arrested and handed over to the Agona Police Station for allegedly assaulting a female teacher in a classroom.
According to information shared by the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) in the area, the victim is a member of the association. The incident is said to have occurred during school hours, although the exact circumstances leading to the alleged assault have not yet been disclosed.
The development has sparked concern among teachers and education stakeholders, with many calling for stronger protection for teachers within school environments.

Officials of GNAT, including the Regional Secretary, District Secretary, and District Chairman, are currently at the Agona Police Station to ensure that the suspect is processed and arraigned before court.
