“Use more local materials in teaching pre-school pupils”-Pre-school coordinator

Pre-school teachers are encouraged to use more regional resources while instructing young children, according to Francisca Bello, the pre-school coordinator at the Ga East Municipal Education Directorate.

She believed that would aid the kids in appreciating Ghanaian culture and gaining a better understanding of their neighborhood and society.

“We want to motivate teachers and facilitators to use more of our local resources. There are many green leaves nearby if you wish to teach the kids about greens, for instance. When it comes to information transfer, the child will recognize that the green in my environment is what my teacher is talking about if we can teach them how to deal with the greens around them,” she said.

She made this statement at the Little Rubies Home School’s ceremonial opening, which took place at Agbogba-Old Ashongman Estate in Accra.

Madam Bello praised the school for its investment in kids and urged the government to develop accommodations for kids with impairments as well.

Ruby Annan Nettey, the proprietor of Little Rubies Home School, stated that the school would combine the British and Ghanaian curricula.

The combination, according to her, would assist the kids’ understanding of the subjects they were taught as well as their ability to think for themselves, explore, write, read, and recall words.

Children from less privileged backgrounds will receive scholarships, according to Madam Nettey.
