JUST IN: GES organizes ICT Training for All Teachers Nationwide [Details Here]
The Ghana Education Service (GES) is informing all teachers nationwide of its decision to train all teachers in accordance with the one-teacher, one-laptop initiative in a letter with reference number GES/DD- G(MS)/3/23/77, dated April 18, 2023, and signed by Stephen Kwaku Owusu, Deputy Director-General (Ms) For: Director-General.
All teachers are required to complete some basic ICT training as part of the One-Teacher, One-Laptop project in order to utilise the many e-learning tools that have been made available on the computers.
Following the successful distribution of TM1 laptops to Kindergarten and Primary teachers in the Upper East, North East, and Savannah regions, Ghana Education Service (GES) and KA Technologies announce that all teachers at the Primary & KG level will begin receiving ICT Skills Acquisition training on April 25, 2023.

The training will be led by KAT Champions (District ICT Coordinators trained by KAT), who must collaborate with their District Directors and School Heads during the planning phase. Participants are required to register a KATON account after training is finished so they can access and upload an attestation as proof of attendance before taking the exam. A link will be sent to teachers who want to participate in the online training module by KA Technologies.
Upon successful completion and assessment, teachers will get a certificate for participation and points towards their Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Those Who Already Possess Their Laptops
Note that all districts outside of the aforementioned regions who have gotten full supplies for KG & Primary teachers are also to start their training. The training schedules of all District ICT Coordinators must be shared with KA Technologies for support and oversight. The certificate is provided free of charge.
