How to use Notes app on your iPhone or iPad to scan or sign documents

On your iPhone or iPad, the Notes app lets you scan documents and add signatures. A lot of iPhone or iPad users don’t this and they end up downloading a third-party scanner for the device. Follow these simple steps and know how to use the Note app on your iPhone or iPad to scan or sign a document.

Scanning a document

1. Launch Notes and choose an existing note or start a new one.

2. Press the Camera icon Tap Camera button to start scanning a document in Notes, then select Scan Documents Scan document icon.

3. Position your document so that the camera can see it.

4. Your paper will be automatically scanned if your device is in auto mode. Tap the Shutter button tap the Shutter button to scan or one of the Volume buttons to manually take a scan. After fitting the scan to the page by dragging the corners, tap Keep Scan.

5. Select Save or continue adding scans to the document.

Signing a document

1. First, open Notes, then tap the associated document.

2. Select Markup Markup icon after clicking the Share icon Share button.

3. After selecting Signature Signature icon, add a previously saved signature or enter a new one by tapping the Add button Add button. The signature box can then be sized and placed wherever you like on the paper.

4. Click Done.
