How to configure a VPN on an Android or iPhone

We strongly advise utilizing a VPN on your computer if you frequently use open and public WiFi networks. Public WiFi networks are not properly secured and are susceptible to assaults from fraudulent users.

Your privacy may be seriously jeopardized if you’re using a network that has been tapped by a third party. This can be avoided with a safe VPN service. We demonstrate how to set up a VPN on Android and iPhone in this article.

How to set up a VPN on Android

  • Go to Settings and select Connections.
  • Select ‘More connection settings’.
  • Tap on VPN
  • Tap the ellipses and select ‘Add VPN profile’.
  • Enter the details like VPN name, VPN type, server address, username, and password.
  • Hit ‘Save’.

How to set up a VPN on iPhone

  • Go to Settings and select General.
  • Tap on VPN.
  • Tap on ‘Add VPN Configuration’.
  • Enter the necessary information.
  • Hit ‘Done’.

Utilize a VPN app

There are many free third-party VPN programs available for download from the Google Play Store or App Store if you don’t want to follow the native way. For your Android and iOS devices, apps like Privado, Hotspot Shield, Turbo VPN, TunnelBear, and others provide free basic VPN services.

The main drawback is that these apps typically have a lot of advertisements. You must purchase a premium subscription from these apps if you want an ad-free experience and quicker servers. Also available are high-end commercial applications like Nord VPN, Express VPN, and Surf shark.

If you want to access the regional video libraries of OTT apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, we’d suggest using this app.
