WAEC Introduces Resit Registration for WASSCE Candidates: Everything you need to know

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has commenced registration for resit papers for students who were unable to pass certain subjects in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). This marks the first time WAEC is organizing a dedicated resit examination, moving away from the traditional November/December private exams.

In an official statement shared on its social media platforms, WAEC announced that the registration window is now open and will close on January 8, 2025.

Interested candidates are advised to visit the official WAEC website at www.waecgh.org for detailed instructions. To ensure a smooth registration process, students must complete their registration at WAEC-accredited internet cafes.

The resit examination is scheduled to take place from January 24 to February 15, 2025. This initiative offers a timely opportunity for students to improve their grades and enhance their chances of pursuing higher education or entering the job market.

This new approach by WAEC is expected to benefit thousands of candidates who may have faced challenges in specific subjects during the main WASSCE. It is also a significant step toward providing more flexible and accessible pathways for academic progression.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to better their results. For further inquiries, they can contact WAEC through the information provided on its website or social media platforms.
