Central Gonja District Education Directorate Announces Vacancies for Key Roles
The Central Gonja District Education Directorate has opened up several positions for qualified teachers who wish to serve in various administrative roles within the Ghana Education Service (GES). These vacancies provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement and the chance to contribute to the development of the educational system in the district.
As of September 9, 2024, the Directorate is accepting applications for the following positions:
- Planning Officer
- Budget Officer
- Public Relations Officer (PRO)
- Information Technology (IT) Officer
Requirements for Applicants
Each of the available roles has specific qualifications and requirements. Below is an outline of the necessary criteria for each position:
- Planning Officer: The applicant must be a graduate professional teacher at the rank of Deputy Director or Assistant Director I, with a strong track record in the GES. Additionally, the applicant should have extensive knowledge in IT, and a degree in Planning would be an added advantage.
- Budget Officer: Candidates for this role must also be graduate professional teachers holding the rank of Deputy Director or Assistant Director I. Like the Planning Officer position, the candidate should have an excellent record in the GES, be committed to their duties, and have extensive IT skills.
- Public Relations Officer (PRO): This role is open to teachers ranked Principal Superintendent or higher. Candidates should have extensive IT skills and a strong professional record within the GES.
- IT Officer: To qualify for this position, candidates should be graduate professional teachers with the rank of Principal Superintendent or higher. The role requires extensive knowledge of IT, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a degree or diploma in ICT is highly preferred.

Application Process
Interested candidates are required to submit three copies of the following documents:
- A formal application letter
- Personal record form (duly filled and signed)
- Last promotion letter
- Highest professional and academic certificates
- Confidential report from their immediate supervisor
The deadline for submission is Monday, September 23, 2024. Applications should be submitted to the District Education Office in Buipe. Candidates should note that only shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview.
