NTC full implementation of fees and charges for license renewal

The National Teaching Council (NTC) in a letter dated September 26, 2023, with reference number-NTCA IC/RT/356/2/111, signed by Christian Addai-Poku (Ph.D.), registrar, has written to the management of Ghana Education Service (GES) informing them about the charges for teachers’ license renewal, and the GES should bring to the attention of teachers across the country.

In the letter, the NTC stated that the charges were approved by the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana.

“I write to respectfully inform you that the National Teaching Council is from this year 2023, implementing fully the fees and charges as approved by the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana.

The National Teaching Council is authorised by the fee and charges (Miscellaneous provisions) Act 2022 to levy its clientele to support its regulatory functions.

Per the Act, the following fees and charges are incumbent upon all teachers:

1. Licence card

2. Renewal of licence

3. Registration of teachers

GH 200.00 GHE100.00

GH¢ 50,00

You are therefore requested to bring this to the attention of your employees.”, it stated in the letter.
