“My hat-trick against Bayern Munich was inspired by Ghana jollof”-Dani Olmo
Dani Olmo, a forward for RB Leipzig, has jokingly claimed that eating Ghanaian jollof helped him score three goals against Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup final.
Last Saturday, Olmo and his teammates defeated German champions Bayern 3-0 in a lopsided match to win the German Super Cup.
The Spain international was the major destructor, scoring all three goals to dismantle Thomas Tuchel’s team.

After the game, Benjamin Paa Kwesi Henrichs contacted Olmo to find out what motivated his outstanding performance.
The right-back, who was raised by a German father and a Ghanaian mother, asked Olmo in Twi: “How did you score the three goals?” in a video that was uploaded to TikTok.
It’s the Ghana jollof, Olmo said cheerfully, and the two erupted into laughing as a result.
In Western Africa, particularly in nations like Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Togo, Liberia, Niger, Mali, Ivory Coast, and Cameroon, jollof rice is a popular meal.
