GES Opens Applications for Confirmation and Promotion to Senior Superintendent I

The Ghana Education Service (GES), through the Asutifi South District Education Directorate, has officially announced the opening of applications for confirmation and promotion to the rank of Senior Superintendent I. The call is directed at qualified serving personnel of the GES who meet the stipulated requirements.

According to the circular dated 9th June 2025, applicants who wish to be considered for promotion must have already been promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent II on or before 2021. Similarly, those seeking confirmation must have been appointed into the Ghana Education Service on or before 2024.

Prospective candidates are to submit their applications in writing to the District Directorate and attach two copies each of the following documents:

  1. First Appointment Letter
  2. Last Promotion Letter (if any)
  3. Confirmation Letter
  4. Highest Professional Certificate
  5. Current Payslip
  6. Memo from Headteacher and SISO

It is important to note that all applications must be submitted to the HRMD Unit of the District Education Directorate by Friday, 27th June 2025. Submissions received after this deadline will not be considered.

The announcement, signed by James Frimpong-Manso (District Director), has been circulated to all SISO’s and Headteachers within the district to ensure wide dissemination and prompt action by eligible personnel.

This latest development is part of the ongoing efforts by the GES to ensure that qualified staff are duly recognized and advanced in their professional careers in accordance with laid-down procedures.
