GES Grants Permission for Senior High School Product Sampling Expansion

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has given approval to Procus Ghana Limited to scale up its product sampling initiative to Senior High Schools (SHSs) in eight regions.
This is outlined in a letter dated January 22, 2025, and signed by Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, the Director of Schools and Instructions, on behalf of the Director-General of GES.
Procus Ghana Limited, an organization that has been operational in Ghana since 2019, successfully executed product sampling in 210 schools across five regions—Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western, Central, and Eastern.
The company now seeks to expand its initiative to introduce students to its ready-to-eat snack, the “Kivo 4-in-1 Gari Soakings Mix,” in schools across the Northern, Bono, Oti, Savannah, Greater Accra, Central, Western, and Volta regions.
The expansion is planned to take place from January to June 2025. To ensure the activity’s effective implementation, the GES has directed Regional Directors to collaborate with district SHEP (School Health Education Program) Coordinators and Heads of schools.
The letter emphasizes the importance of cooperation from all stakeholders, urging Regional Directors to inform their respective districts to provide the necessary support to the team from Procus Ghana Limited.
This initiative highlights the continued partnership between GES and private organizations aimed at providing students with opportunities to explore nutritious food options, contributing to their health and well-being.
The letter was also copied to key stakeholders, including the Director-General of GES, Deputy Directors-General, the Director of the SHEP Unit, and the Marketing Manager of Procus Ghana Limited, ensuring transparency and coordination at all levels.
With this approval, GES reinforces its commitment to fostering innovative collaborations that benefit students while adhering to its mission to promote quality education across the country.
