C/R: Man wanted by the Police for defiling and impregnating his two nieces at Agona Abodom

Kobina Appiah is wanted by the Agona Swedru District Police Command on suspicion of defiling and impregnating members of his own family.

According to allegations, the 32-year-old Kobina took advantage of his older sister’s daughters and got them pregnant.

At Agona Abodom in the Agona West District of the Central Region, the suspect, the victim, a 16-year-old girl and her 14-year-old sister, and both victims share a home.

Afua Yeboah, the victim’s mother, who is utterly grieved, claimed she left the victims in her younger brother’s care so she could get emergency surgery.

She claims that until the 14-year-pregnancy old was officially confirmed, she was unaware of the situation.

She revealed to Seth Kofi Adjei of Adom News that when questioned, her daughter pointed at their uncle Kobina and detailed the several occasions in which he had sexually attacked her.

She claimed that the suspect sometimes put sleeping tablets in the victims’ drinks while other times he offered them alcoholic drinks to get them drunk.

The elderly victim corroborated the allegations and added that the suspect travelled with her to commit the crime.

Both victims are currently expecting; the older one is in her third month and the younger one is four months along.

Despite requests from family members to resolve the situation at home, the victims’ mother, Afua Yeboah, has reported the incident to the police.

She also alerted the traditional council, which called in additional security personnel to find the perpetrator who is still evading capture.

Nana Owiro, the Regent of Agona Abodom, promised that his council will exert all effort to ensure that suspect Kobina would be subject to the full force of the law. The guy has since left the town, taking his wife and kids with him.
