In a statement released on Friday, November 3, 2023, management of the GCB Bank PLC is informing its valued customers about a fake information circulating in the media.
“Dear customer, get validated on your GCB mobile app for safety and convenience accessibly, an agent from the office will contact you for complete validation”, the fake information read.
GCB Bank PLC reacted to the fake information to update its customers to avoid any further problems.
“Dear Valued Customer, please be informed that the information circulating in the media is FAKE and was not initiated by GCB Bank PLC.
GCB Bank is not conducting any customer verification processes through the Mobile App. We urge you to remain vigilant. Kindly note that GCB will only reach out to you via the following official number: 0302634922. When in doubt, contact our Customer Service via 0800 422 422, chat with us on WhatsApp via 0202 422 422 or visit the nearest GCB branch.”, it said in a statement.
