On January 1, 2023, the discount on the HDV of automobiles and the import values of general goods will be fully reversed-GRA

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has issued a formal statement informing the public that, as of January 1, 2023, the discount on the import values of common commodities and the home delivery values of automobiles will be completely reversed.

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) wishes to inform the trading public of the complete reversal of the 30% discount on import values of general goods and 10% discount on Home Delivery Value (HDV) of used vehicles effective January 1, 2023. This is in response to the budget statement and economic policy of the Government of Ghana for the year ending 31st December 2023, dated 24th November 2022.

All items shall continue to be valued in accordance with Sections 60 (used motor vehicles) and 67 (general valuation) of the Customs Act 2015 (Act 891) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) valuation agreement (general goods).
