Official Launch of Channel MOE TV: A New Era for Educational Broadcasting in Ghana
On 27th September 2024, the Ministry of Education, through the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS), will officially launch Channel MOE TV. This new educational platform is aimed at revolutionizing access to quality learning content across Ghana, ensuring that students and educators are equipped with the necessary resources to succeed in the evolving academic landscape.
Channel MOE TV, with the motto “Informing Today, Transforming Tomorrow,” will serve as a crucial educational broadcasting tool that delivers quality content designed to enhance learning outcomes.
The channel will cover a broad range of subjects, educational programs, and relevant curriculum-based content, targeting learners from basic to tertiary education levels. It is expected to reach households nationwide, providing continuous learning support and enhancing the government’s efforts in ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all.
The official launch will be headlined by the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and other key educational stakeholders. Their presence signifies the importance of this initiative to the government’s broader agenda of leveraging technology and media to bridge the learning gap, particularly in the wake of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Channel MOE TV is powered by CENDLOS, a government agency mandated to promote distance learning, open schooling, and the integration of ICT in the educational sector.
