At the scene, it was learned that the suspect had dated the girlfriend for a while, but the two were reportedly having trouble getting along.
According to information obtained by kingcyrusonline.com, the suspect’s girlfriend and him had problems and misunderstandings the day of the incident before he killed her.
“We only know the guy as Emeka and he is from Togo; he has been working here for a while now, and this morning I saw her opening the shop, and not too long, his girlfriend was in her school uniform came around, and a few minutes later I saw Emeka in a rush out and he left,” an eyewitness gave an account.
“I went to have my hair cut and when I got inside, I discovered the woman’s motionless body in a pool of blood, I told the other witness who had first seen the girl”, another eyewitness gave his account on the day of the incident.
The girl was found inside the barbershop in a pool of blood with the barbering equipment tied around her neck, but the lover had vanished.

Update on the incident
According to Radio 1 reporter Sompahemaa Ama Adiepena, residents in the area discovered the deceased’s body and reported it to the police. However, it later emerged that the person who made the police complaint was really the suspect who is currently on the run.
It was ascertained that he committed suicide by hanging.
“As I was making my way to farm, I came across a human skull in a bush. I hurried back home and reported it to the police,” the farmer said.
When the police arrived, they found Akoumani Kwabena, also known as Emeka, decomposing to a severe degree with his name-adorned Ghana ID card and a rope fastened to a tree.
The carcass of the murderer, Emeka, together with a bottle of adonko bitters and a bag were discovered at the exact location he hanged himself. Inside the bag was a Ghana card belonging to him.
The Nsutam chief and his elders have already performed libations and are waiting for the town council to arrive with the bones for burial at the time this report was written.
