GES Mourns the Loss of Savannah Regional Director, Mabel Judith Micah

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the passing of its Savannah Regional Director, Mrs. Judith Mabel Micah, following a tragic accident in February 2024.

Mrs. Micah, who had been receiving medical attention since the accident, sadly succumbed to her injuries on Friday, 27th September 2024.

Her passing has left the management and staff of GES deeply saddened. In a statement released by the Head of the Public Relations Unit, Mrs. Cassandra Twum Ampofo, GES expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the late Regional Director, as well as the entire GES staff who have been affected by this unfortunate loss.

Mrs. Mabel Judith Micah will be remembered for her remarkable dedication to education and her exceptional leadership.

Her relentless efforts towards the development of education in the Savannah region and across the nation will not be forgotten.

Her death is a significant blow to GES and the education sector in Ghana, as she was known for her tireless commitment to improving educational standards and ensuring that the region’s schools were well-equipped to serve their students.

Management has assured the public that they will support the bereaved family during this difficult time, and further details regarding the funeral arrangements will be shared in due course.
