Kingcyrusonline.com has learned that Osei Bonsu Kingsley Dafour, the Ashanti Regional Accountant of the Ghana Education Service (GES), and his driver, Richard Opuni, perished tragically in the Konongo accident on the Kumasi-Accra highway.
They were both killed when a large car ran over them. The event was confirmed by Mr. Henry Osei Boateng, the GES’ Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer, to Syxtus Eshun of MyNewsGH.com.
He claimed that when their car was heading from Kumasi, an Accra-bound vehicle attempted to pass it, colliding with the tail of their vehicle in the process.
Tragically, the deadly tragedy was caused by a collision between their vehicles and a Konongo cargo car.
Doctors at the Konongo government hospital pronounced Richard Opuni and Osei Bonsu Kingsley Dafour dead. Mr. Osei Boateng underlined that although information regarding the casualties in the other vehicles was withheld throughout the interview, the GES office was particularly worried about their deceased colleague and driver.
