GES issues a statement on recent Teacher Promotion Examination
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a statement concerning teachers who sat for the promotion examination this year.
In statement with reference number- GES/ HRMD/SEC/23/050, dated April 26, 2023, signed by Angela Frimpomaa Nkansah (MS.) AG. Director, HRMD, for: DIRECTOR-GENERAL, management of GES is notifying teachers to be chary about an ongoing teacher promotion scam by ‘supposed GES staff’.

“It has come to the notice of Management of Ghana Education Service that innocent teachers who sat for the promotion examination this year are being defrauded by ‘supposed GES staff‘.
Management is by this notice vehemently condemning such practice and wishes to inform the general public that GES believes in the credibility of assessment and will not do anything to undermine the principles of assessment.
We wish to emphasize that teachers are only promoted when they sit and pass their examination organized by the Service.
Ghana Education Service shall not be held liable for such payment.
Kindly bring this to the notice of all staff who have sat for the promotion examination within your directorate.” It said in a statement.
