Electoral Commission opens recruitment portal for temporal officers [Apply]
The Electoral Commission of Ghana would like to notify the public that it is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the roles of Returning Officer and Deputy Returning Officer as part of its planning for the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
The roles of Exhibition Supervisor, Deputy Exhibition Supervisor, Registration Supervisor, and Returning Officer will be shared by the Returning Officer or Deputy Returning Officer.

Along with indicating the position for which they are applying, applicants should also include the Region, District, and Constituency that they hope to work in.

Applicants are to email their application letters and CVs to the appropriate email addresses, depending on the region/ constituency they choose to work in.
Qualification Requirements:
The minimum academic qualification for Returning Officer and Deputy Returning Officer is a first degree in any field of study. A masters degree will be an advantage. An appreciable knowledge of elections and the terrain in which the applicant wishes to work will be an advantage.
Duration of Engagement
Successful applicants will be engaged in all three (3) major activities of the Electoral Commission scheduled for 2024; namely the Voter Registration Exercise, Exhibition of Voters Register, and the General Election.
Aside the academic qualifications, applicants are expected to demonstrate the following technical and personal competencies:
•Computer proficiency, Physical and mental alertness
•Quantitative and analytical skills.
•Firm and fair
•A good working experience in collating: data, figures, etc.
•Ability to work under pressure.
•High level of honesty and integrity.
•Good team player
•Political neutrality
•A good knowledge of the terrain where the applicant wishes to work
