Akuffo-Addo names six new ambassadors
At a brief ceremony on Wednesday at the Jubilee House in Accra, President Nana Akuffo-Addo presented letters of accreditation to five new envoys and one High Commissioner.
The six are diplomats who have attained the pinnacle of their careers and were carefully selected to serve as the High Commissioner and designate Ambassadors.
They are Mr. Mohammed Habib Idris, Ambassador-designate to the State of Kuwait; Ms. Doris Adzo Denyo Brese, High Commissioner-designate to the Commonwealth Dominion of Australia; and Mr. Samuel Yao Kumah, High Commissioner-designate to the Commonwealth Dominion of Australia.
The remaining candidates are Mr. Alex Owiredu Adu, Mr. Mark Michael Entsie, and Mr. Kingsford Amoako, who will serve as ambassadors-to-be to the states of Libya and Liberia, respectively.

President Akufo-Addo stated in a brief speech that he has had the honor and pleasure of presenting credentials four times during his second term.
He pointed out that Article 74(1) of the Constitution required the Council of State to be consulted prior to their appointment, which was made to protect and advance our country’s interests abroad.
They have excelled in our nation’s public service and are perfectly qualified to represent Ghana at their different places of accreditation, which have expressed satisfaction with their selections. I cordially congratulate each of them on their well-earned appointment, and I have no doubt that they will uphold the honor of our country,” he said.
