2025 BECE and WASSCE Dates Announced by GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the dates for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
This information was communicated in a letter signed by Prince Charles Agyemang-Duah, Director of Schools and Instructions Division, on behalf of the Director-General of GES.
Examination Dates
BECE: Scheduled to take place from 9th June to 16th June 2025.
WASSCE: Scheduled from 4th August to 19th September 2025.
Preparation and Registration
The GES has tasked all Regional Directors of Education to ensure that this information is disseminated to Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Directors of Education.

These directors are expected to communicate the dates to all heads of basic and senior high schools to facilitate adequate preparation for the examinations.
Additionally, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will provide further updates regarding the registration period for candidates. Heads of schools are advised to stay informed and ensure that all candidates are duly registered and prepared for their respective exams.
