SHS 3 Student BƱtchered by 45-Year-Old Mason for Allegedly Stealing His GH₵5

At the Emergency ward of Twifo Praso Government Hospital, David Kwaku Nkrumah, 21, a final-year Electricals student at Hemang Technical SHS in the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira area of the Central region, is fighting for his life.

A 45-year-old mason identified as Salinco bƱtchered Master Nkrumah for allegedly taking his GH₵5.00. Residents of Twifo Wawase in the aforementioned neighbourhood are the victim and the suspect.

They reportedly attended a vigil (wake keeping) at Twifo Gyankobo, a close community to Twifo Wawase, on Friday, May 5, 2023.

When the suspect, Salinco, complained about his missing cell phone after the wake keeping, the two got into the same taxi and headed back to their village.

After a brief search of the vehicle, the victim discovered the suspect’s lost phone.

However, the suspect reported missing GHC₵5.00 once more and implicated the victim because the phone he discovered was with the cash.

Therefore, he ordered that the 21-year-old student also present the cash.

After three days, when the young man said he had no knowledge of the money and had simply found the phone, Salinco threatened to bƱtcher him if he didn’t provide the GH₵5.00.

Salinco had murdered Nkrumah over the missing five Cedis three days after making the threat.
