Senior Student Captured Assaulting Junior Over Missing Mobile Phone at Nchiraa SHS
A senior student of Nchiraa Senior High School in the Bono Region has been captured in a video allegedly assaulting a junior student over a missing mobile phone.
According to reports, the confrontation arose following a disagreement regarding the whereabouts of the mobile phone. Instead of reporting the matter to school authorities for investigation, the senior student is said to have taken matters into his own hands, leading to the physical assault of the junior student.
The incident, which was recorded and has since circulated on social media, has sparked concerns among students, parents, and members of the public about discipline and student safety within second-cycle institutions.
Many social media users have condemned the actions of the senior student, arguing that disputes involving theft or missing items should be handled through the appropriate school disciplinary structures rather than through intimidation or violence.

The incident has also reignited discussions about bullying, abuse of authority by senior students, and the need for school management to strengthen supervision and conflict-resolution mechanisms on campus.
As of the time of filing this report, the management of Nchiraa Senior High School has not publicly commented on the matter. It remains unclear whether disciplinary action has been taken against the student involved.
Educational stakeholders continue to urge students to resolve disputes peacefully and to report grievances through the proper channels to prevent incidents that could endanger the safety and well-being of others.
