Reopening Date for Colleges of Education Rescheduled to January 2025

The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education – Ghana (PRINCOF) has announced a rescheduling of the reopening date for the 2024/2025 academic year for Levels 100, 200, and 300 students in colleges of education across the country. Originally scheduled for November 18, 2024, the reopening has been postponed to January 13, 2025, due to unforeseen circumstances.

In a circular issued by the PRINCOF Secretariat and signed by Prof. Samuel A. Atintono, the PRINCOF President, principals of colleges of education have been urged to communicate this change to their students and staff promptly. The letter further states that a revised academic calendar will be provided in the coming days to reflect the new schedule.

This unexpected delay may impact academic plans and student arrangements, particularly for those who had already made travel and accommodation preparations based on the previous date. However, PRINCOF has reassured stakeholders that these adjustments are necessary to address underlying issues affecting the institutions.

The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education continues to prioritize effective planning and transparent communication to ensure a smooth academic experience for all students and faculty members.

As the colleges prepare for this extended break, students and staff are encouraged to stay updated on further announcements regarding the revised academic calendar.
