Over 30 students of Ajumako Afransi Technical Institute hospitalised over suspected food poisoning

More than thirty students from Ajumako Afransi Technical and Vocational Institute were admitted to the hospital due to possible food poisoning.

They were hurried to the Ajumako Baah Salvation Army Polyclinic after complaining of stomach pain following a meal, according to sources.

The incident happened on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, around lunch, after several students had eaten stew and waakye.

Ajumako Baah Salvation Army Polyclinic is treating some of the afflicted students, while Ajumako District Government Hospital is handling medical care for others.

Physician Assistant Daniel Agyeakpor stated in an interview with Adom News that most of the students are in stable health and are awaiting test results to find out what is causing their illness.
