NAGRAT urges Education Ministry to resolve TVET teachers’ issues within two weeks
The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has given the Ministry of Education a two-week ultimatum to address the challenges faced by professional teachers in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
NAGRAT expressed concerns about the lack of consultation with teacher representatives in developing the scheme of service for TVET teachers and the transfer of teachers from the Ghana Education Service to TVET without their consent.

Speaking to Citi News, NAGRAT President, Angel Carbonu stated that the union has met with the Ministry and agreed on a two-week timeline to resolve these issues.
“We have had a meeting, and during that meeting, the authorities acknowledged the anomalies and have implemented measures to address them,” he said.
“So we are supposed to give them two weeks to address the anomalies and then we will reconvene, look at the way the anomalies have been solved and then we will take it from there.”
