Man beaten to death for attempting to steal ‘VIP bus’ at Kumasi [VIDEO]
According to reports, a guy in his mid-30s was fatally beaten after attempting to steal a Grand Bird bus at Asafo in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region.
Reports say the tragedy happened at first light on March 8, 2023, a Wednesday.
According to sources, the deceased arrived at the terminal of V.I.P. Transport Company at around 4:00am, started the relevant vehicle, and then made an attempt to flee in it. The bus in question was a Grand Bird with the registration number GE 2304-10.
When the driver’s assistant noticed, she and some bystanders helped her pursue the suspect in a tricycle.

The deceased thought about getting off the moving bus at one point, but the mob caught him and battered him severely.
Before coming to a stop, the abandoned bus, which was still moving, is said to have damaged a nearby vehicle.
The police at Asokwa have subsequently transported the body of the dead, who passed away as a result of the mob activity, to a mortuary for preservation and investigation.
