A bus transporting students and teachers from Kwahu Tafo Senior High School was involved in a serious accident on Friday evening at Akyem Ettukrom, along the Osiem to Bunso road in the Eastern Region.
The students were returning home from Koforidua after participating in a zonal sports competition when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Several students and teachers on board the bus sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and worked to rescue the occupants.
The injured were immediately transported to the nearby Osiem Hawa Hospital for medical attention.

Although the cause of the crash is yet to be determined, images from the accident scene show the bus overturned in a bush, with students seen escaping through its windows.
The local police have launched an investigation to uncover the factors that led to the incident.
