GNAT Approves Nomination Forms for 2025-2026 Elections

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has officially approved nomination forms for the upcoming 2025-2026 elections at all levels.

This decision was made during a meeting held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, by the National GNAT Elections Committee (GNATEC).

According to a communication signed by Nicholas Taylor, Head of the Organization and Strategy Department, the nomination forms are now available at all GNAT secretariats across the country.

Additionally, prospective candidates can access the forms via the GNAT website and designated local, district, and regional GNAT WhatsApp platforms for convenience.

This move aligns with Section 3.3.1(a) of GNAT’s Guidelines for the Conduct of Elections, ensuring transparency and ease of access for members seeking to contest positions in the association’s governance structure.

The leadership has urged all prospective candidates to use the approved forms to participate in the elections, emphasizing the need for compliance with the stipulated guidelines.

GNAT remains committed to upholding democratic principles within the association and facilitating the active involvement of its members in decision-making processes.

This development sets the stage for a competitive and transparent electoral process aimed at selecting capable leaders to steer the affairs of GNAT for the 2025-2026 term.
