GES orders headteachers to accept both handwritten and electronically prepared lesson notes

Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in a letter dated January 17, 2024, with reference number – GES/DD-G/Q&A/24/021, signed by Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh; Ag. Director, Schools and Instructions, has informed all headteachers both basic and second cycle across the country to accept both handwritten and electronically prepared lesson notes in both printed and email forms.

GES stated the it released the letter to clarify the misunderstanding between heads and their teachers in relation to lesson notes preparation.

“Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has become aware of some misunderstanding between heads and their teachers in some schools in respect of lesson notes preparations.

Regional Directors are to bring to the attention of District/Municipal/Metropolitan Directors of Education to ensure that all heads of schools (Basic and Second Cycle) accept both handwritten and electronically prepared lesson notes in both printed and email forms.” It said in the letter.
