Cultivate soft skills to improve employment prospects – Director General of GES

The Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr. Eric Nkansah, emphasized the importance of digital upskilling among the youth during the 32nd graduation ceremony of Valley View University. Addressing the 820 graduates on the theme “Equipped with Service: Leading with Excellence and Integrity,” Dr. Nkansah urged them to enhance their soft skills and adaptability to thrive in an increasingly competitive job market shaped by digital advancements.

In his speech, Dr. Nkansah highlighted the challenges posed by rapid technological change, noting that theories suggest that advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other technologies could potentially displace around 300 million jobs globally.
