4 diseases that can be contracted through k!śşing

K!śşing is a very significant act in relationships since it strengthens the tie between partners, increases passion in the union, facilitates örgãsm and fõrëplay, and offers numerous health advantages.

A professional body representing more than 35,000 general dentists, the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), issues a warning that k!śşing can spread approximately 500 different kinds of viruses and bacteria that cause sickness.

It could be disastrous to k!śş someone who doesn’t care about maintaining good oral hygiene or who has an unhealthy mouth.

1. MONONUCLEOSIS

This is also known as k!śşing disease; however, glandular fever is the common term for this viral infection caused by Epstein-Barr virus. This virus is spread via saliva contact when k!śşing. Its symptoms are fatigue, headache, sore throat, general feeling of unwell, fever etc. It’s not all that contagious but it can definitely be contacted via k!śşing.

2. COLD

If you feel a flu coming or your partner is down with flu, it would be wise to avoid k!śşing at that time as it can be easily contacted through contact with saliva or nasal secretions. This is the most common disease gotten while k!śşing.

3. COLD SORES

These are caused by the herpes virus; they appear as tiny, fluid-filled blisters that form around the mouth and lips. These sores are highly contagious especially if they are secreting fluids. A wound near the lips is most often herpes, so a make out session should be avoided at this point.

4. MENINGOCOCCAL DISEASE

Meningococcal disease is a disease caused by the bacterium Neisseria Meningitidis; you could actually carry this bacterium in your nose or throat without any symptoms; however, it could sometimes invade the body and cause certain illnesses such as the meningococcal disease. This disease can also be spread via saliva contact and k!śşing.

You shouldn’t be the only one who has to take care of your mouth; make sure your spouse does too. Don’t underestimate the importance of k!śşing in a relationship; it’s a basic component of all successful partnerships.
