13-year-old student at Swedru Methodist ‘B’ Basic School dead after receiving 6 strokes of cane [VIDEO]
A 13-year-old student at Swedru Methodist ‘B’ Basic School has reportedly died after receiving 6 strokes of cane on his back from a female teacher.
The Junior High School (JHS) student allegedly died after receiving six strokes of canes. The occurrence took place in Agona Swedru in the Central Region. The mother of the deceased claims that her son received the beating because he received lower grades. The learner’s mother revealed the facts on Onua FM.

Beatrice White, the dead student’s mother, claims that Madam Millicent was the teacher who reportedly canned her son to death. She insisted that the six lashes the teacher gave her son were to blame for his death. The name of the learner has been revealed as Godfred Ankomah.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) is yet to respond to the situation at hand. The teacher won’t have it easy since there is a “no cane” policy from GES. Colleagues in the teaching fraternity need to learn something from this sad incident that has happened.
