Football is a game which is played by two teams. Each team has eleven participants who play a match with a spherical ball. The game is played on a rectangular field commonly known as a pitch with a goal at each end. In the goal post is a goalkeeper whose main responsibility is to prevent their opponent from scoring.
The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into the opposing side’s goal in the time frame of 90 minutes plus stoppage time, and intermittently also extra time.
