WAEC Releases Final Timetable for 2025 BECE Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the final timetable for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which is set to begin on Monday, 7th July 2025, and conclude on Friday, 11th July 2025.
The BECE serves as a critical assessment for final-year junior high school (JHS) students across Ghana, determining placement into senior high schools and other second-cycle institutions.
According to the timetable, candidates will begin the examination week with English Language and Religious and Moral Education on the first day. Other key subjects such as Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, and Ghanaian Language are spread throughout the week, with students writing two papers per day.
WAEC has emphasized the need for all candidates and schools to adhere strictly to the scheduled dates and times. The Council also cautioned candidates to refrain from examination malpractices and encouraged schools to provide adequate support during the final weeks of preparation.
Parents and guardians are advised to familiarize themselves with the timetable and support their wards to revise effectively and arrive early at their examination centers each day.
The 2025 BECE will mark another milestone in Ghana’s educational calendar, with thousands of students expected to take part in this crucial examination.
Key Exam Dates:
Start: Monday, 7th July 2025
End: Friday, 11th July 2025
WAEC urges all stakeholders, including school authorities and invigilators, to ensure a smooth and fair examination process across the country.
