2023 Academic Year PE and Sports Calendar for Basic Schools

In a letter with reference number-GES/NR/CGD/PG.43/, dated February 1, 2023, the Central Gonja District office of the Ghana Education Service (GES) is inviting applications from suitably qualified teachers serving in the Ghana Education Service for the post of a Headteachers/Headmasters.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements;

1. Must be a professional teacher

2. Must possess a University degree certificate

3. Must be on the rank of Principal Superintendent or above

4. Must have a credible record with the Ghana Education Service

5. Must be prepared to serve in any school in the district

6. All acting Headteachers and headmasters who have now obtained the above requirements should also apply for consideration as substantive Heads.

7. Should be able to serve at least 40 years before compulsory retirement

Mode of Application

Applicants are required to submit three (3) copies each of the following to the District Director of Education on or before February 16, 2023.

1. Application letter

2. Last promotion/Upgrading letter

3. Personal record form dully filled and signed

4. Photocopies of academic and professional certificates

5. Applicants who are class teachers or assistant headteachers/headmasters should add recommendation letter from their Headteachers/headmasters. Those who are acting heads should take it from their SISO’s.

NOTE: Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for interview.
