University of Ghana Suspends 14 Students and Sanctions 97 Others for Misconduct and Exam Malpractices

The University of Ghana has announced the suspension of 14 students for two academic years following investigations into various acts of disorderly conduct and violations of the institution’s regulations.

In a statement released on Monday, the university disclosed that the suspensions were imposed after the Disciplinary Committee concluded investigations into separate incidents of student misconduct. The affected students are prohibited from engaging in any academic or extracurricular activities for the duration of their suspension.

In a related development, the university has taken disciplinary action against 97 students who were found guilty of engaging in examination malpractices. The sanctions were issued after formal hearings confirmed that the students had breached the university’s examination protocols.

Furthermore, two additional students have received official reprimands for behavior considered inappropriate by university standards.

The university emphasized its unwavering commitment to maintaining discipline and promoting academic integrity across all levels of the institution.
