Teachers Summoned for Disciplinary Hearing Over Missed CPD Training
The Municipal Education Directorate in Prestea Huni-Valley has issued an invitation to a disciplinary hearing for teachers who failed to attend a recent mandatory Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training.
The CPD training, organized from October 16 to 24, 2024, was aimed at equipping teachers in the municipality with professional skills to improve the quality of education.
According to a letter signed by Sebastian Atrama Diaw, the Director of Education for Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal, the absence of these teachers from the training constitutes a breach of the Professional Code of Conduct. The Directorate expressed concern that their absence undermines its efforts to elevate educational standards within the area.

Failure to comply with this directive could result in further disciplinary action.
This summons underscores the Directorate’s commitment to enforcing policies aimed at professional growth and accountability within the educational system. The Directorate called for full cooperation from the affected teachers to resolve this matter constructively.
