Teachers Fund Gives Update on Payslip, OTP and Mandate Number Access Challenges

Members of the Ghana Teachers Fund are currently facing significant challenges accessing key payroll-related services following the January 2026 payroll run, according to an official notice issued by the Fund on February 4, 2026.

The notice revealed that many members are unable to access their January 2026 electronic payslips, generate mandate numbers, receive One-Time Passwords (OTPs), and check their current loan affordability status. As a result, members are temporarily unable to apply for new loans, while already submitted loan applications have been placed on hold at the Fund Secretariat until the situation is resolved.

According to the Fund, the challenge is not isolated to the Teachers Fund alone but is a broader system issue affecting all third-party institutions that rely on platforms managed by the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD). The Fund indicated that engagement with the CAGD confirmed that technical teams are working diligently to restore the affected systems to full functionality.

The restoration is expected to ensure smooth processing of loan applications and enable members to fully access all related payroll and financial services.

In the meantime, the Fund has urged members to remain calm while the technical challenges are being addressed. District Secretaries have also been advised to communicate the development to members within their respective jurisdictions to prevent misinformation and unnecessary anxiety.

The Teachers Fund reaffirmed its commitment to supporting members and assured stakeholders that updates will be communicated as soon as normal system operations are restored.

The notice was signed by the Chief Operations Officer on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer.
