Rev. John Ntim Fordjour Assures Reinstatement of Unfairly Dismissed Teachers

The Member of Parliament for Assin South and former Deputy Minister of Education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has assured that all teachers who were unfairly dismissed will be reinstated.
This assurance follows a directive from the Ghana Education Service (GES) instructing the reinstatement of teachers whose appointments had been revoked.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, March 6, 2025, Ntim Fordjour attributed the successful development to the persistent advocacy efforts of the Minority in Parliament. He commended the Director-General of GES for taking the necessary steps to address the unjust dismissals, noting that the Minority’s collective voice had played a crucial role in prompting the decision.
“After a forceful collective advocacy of the Mighty Minority, the Director-General of GES has done the needful. We will monitor to ensure all teachers who were unfairly and insensitively terminated are reinstated,” Rev. Ntim Fordjour stated.

“The fight continues unabated until all our hardworking citizens who suffered similar injustices are fully restored,” he added.
Rev. Ntim Fordjour’s statement marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts to rectify the situation for the affected teachers. His pledge to continue advocating for justice underscores his dedication to securing fair treatment for public servants in Ghana, particularly those who work tirelessly in the education sector.
As the process moves forward, many will be watching closely to ensure that the reinstatement is carried out swiftly and that justice is served for those who were wrongfully dismissed.
