Opportunity for Ghanaian Teachers: Fully Sponsored Climate Change and Health Workshop Announced

Teachers across Ghana have been invited to apply for a fully sponsored professional development and capacity-building workshop focused on climate change and its impacts on health.

The workshop, which targets teachers at all levels from lower primary to university is scheduled to take place from 25th to 27th May 2026 at the Indiana University Global Gateway Office in Ghana.

Organisers say the programme is designed to strengthen teachers’ knowledge and instructional capacity in climate change education, particularly as it relates to public and environmental health, an area of growing global concern.

To ensure broad participation, all essential costs will be covered for successful applicants. These include transportation, meals, accommodation, and a stipend throughout the duration of the workshop.

The initiative is funded by the Burroughs Wellcome Grant and supported by the Indiana University Office of International Affairs, with coordination from the IU Innovation and Commercialization Office.
