The management of Larabanga Islamic Senior High School has officially announced nine vacant teaching positions in various subject areas, calling on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to take prompt action to address the staffing needs of the school.
In a letter dated June 17, 2025, and addressed to the Municipal Director of Education in West Gonja, the Headmaster of the school, Mr. Yakubu Danlami Seidu, outlined the urgent need for teaching staff to support the school’s academic programmes in line with GES curriculum standards.
The vacancies span across critical subjects as follows:

This brings the total number of needed teaching staff to nine.
“These positions are critical to ensuring the school meets the academic needs of our students in line with the GES curriculum,” the letter emphasized, urging the authorities to expedite the posting of qualified personnel.
The appeal comes as part of the school’s broader efforts to maintain effective teaching and learning, particularly in a region where staffing shortages continue to pose challenges to quality education delivery.
With the new academic year approaching, stakeholders hope that the prompt response from the GES will help the school prepare adequately and ensure uninterrupted academic activities.
