I aborted Sarkodie’s child because he wasn’t ready to be a father; Yvonne Nelson reveals in new book

The Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has alleged in her recently released book “I am not Yvonne Nelson” that rapper Sarkodie pregnant her and she was forced to terminate the child.

In her extremely shocking book, Yvonne describes how the incident took place when Sarkodie was still getting his bearings.

In order to validate what becomes the most obvious conclusion for a sexually active young woman who misses her monthly flow, I had gone for a pregnancy test. I was with Karen at the time. Additionally, I lacked the strength to open the test results when they were ready. She did so and gave the ruling. It’s there, Charlie, she exclaimed.

“On a regular day, I would have laughed aloud, setting off a series of merry exchanges and jokes. But none of this was amusing. It was a somber bit of knowledge that had the power to upend my entire world. I summoned the man whose powerful seed had sown in me, because I wasn’t the only one to blame for the predicament. Michael Owusu Addo, better known as Sarkodie, is a well-known Ghanaian musician.

“Sarkodie was a young musician with the potential to rise to prominence both in Ghana and internationally. But at the moment, the future seemed hazy, and it seemed impossible to foretell how he would find his way through the labyrinth of life. Failure was not assured. He was still living with his mother and wasn’t ready to take on additional responsibilities while still relying on her, according to Yvonne in the book.

Yvonne discusses her relationship with Sarkodie and acknowledges that it wasn’t anything “serious.”

“I wouldn’t describe the friendship that had grown between us as serious. I was drawn to those who worked in the music business. For the majority of my life, music served as my escape from all the awful things that life had to offer. I appreciated his talent, then. As we conversed, our proximity increased. Parts of the text read, “Closer.”

Yvonne claimed that because Sarkodie wasn’t ready to be a father, she was forced to make the difficult decision to abort the child.

“When he refused to let me keep the pregnancy, the first thing that struck me was my own life. Without a father in my life, I had grown up. I had been told numerous times how I had been born accidentally.

“I continued to question whether the man with my name was my father. How was I going to give birth to another person who would spend their life just like mine but whose father would reject them just like Mr. Nelson had rejected me? Why would I reject the chance to prevent someone else from experiencing the trauma I was, especially because I was not?” she asked.

Now that she has matured, Yvonne acknowledges that she wishes she had kept the child.

“one of the worst blunders I’ve ever made. I would preserve it if the hands of time could be turned back to when I was younger.
