Government inspect the construction of 64km Ashaiman roundabout to Akosombo Junction Road

As part of the ‘Year of Roads’ campaign, The Government of Ghana is constructing and macadamising roads across the country. The Ministry of roads and highways went on inspection tour to inspect the 64km Ashaiman Roundabout to Akosombo Junction Road Project. The 64km Ashaiman Roundabout to Akosombo Junction Road Project has begun in earnest, with the contractor, Inzag GmbH, fully mobilized on site.

The EUR256million project which is expected to be completed in September 2024 consist of;

• The construction of a flyover at Ashiman

• The Construction of an interchange at Asutuare

• The construction of a two-lane dual carriageway and two-lane service road from Ashaiman to Kpong

• The construction of a two-lane single carriageway from Kpong to Atimpoko

• The construction of three river bridges

• The construction of 11 pedestrian footbridges

• The provision of walkways, streetlights, and drainage

The project is part of the government’s plan to dualize all major roads in the country.

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Hon. Amoako-Attah visited the project site to inspect the progress of work.
