A 20-year-old student from Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) in the Northern Region has been arrested for shooting a fellow student.
Joy News reports that Abubakari Abdul Majid was brought in by the school authorities, led by Senior Housemaster Moses Amegatse.
He has been detained and is currently assisting the police with the investigation.

The final-year student identified two other students, whose names are not readily available, as the owners of the gun.
Somed sustained gunshot wounds in the arm and is currently receiving medical attention at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where he is responding well to treatment. Two other students have also been questioned regarding the incident.
According to Joy News sources, school authorities are assisting the police in locating the other two students involved and efforts are underway to retrieve the gun.
