GES to Commence 2024 Computerized School Selection and Placement Training

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the upcoming training and sensitization exercise for the 2024 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS). This exercise is crucial for ensuring a seamless and transparent placement of students into senior high schools across the country.

In a letter dated 21st August 2024, signed by Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, the Acting Director of the Schools and Instructions Division, GES informed all Regional Directors of Education about the virtual training session. The session, organized by the GES in collaboration with the Free Senior High School Secretariat (FSHS), is scheduled to take place on Friday, 23rd August 2024 at 12:00 pm.

The training will be conducted online via Zoom, and it is intended for Regional Directors of Education, Regional Public Relations Officers, Regional Examination Officers, and District Examination Officers. These officials will be trained on the 2024 School Selection Guidelines to ensure uniformity and fairness in the upcoming school selection and placement process.

The letter also highlighted that the nationwide school selection training exercise is scheduled to begin on Monday, 26th August 2024. All relevant officers are expected to participate in the exercise to ensure they are adequately prepared for the task ahead.

This training is part of the GES’s efforts to streamline the school selection and placement process, providing all stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and tools to perform their duties effectively. The GES has urged all concerned officers to take this training seriously and participate actively to ensure the success of the CSSPS.
