GES Interdicts Okadjakrom SHTS Teacher Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted Mr. Mfo Richard Tibetor, a teacher at Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region, over allegations of sexual misconduct involving a female student.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, October 2, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Mr. Daniel Fenyi, GES said it had taken note of a disturbing video circulating on social media allegedly involving the teacher and a female student.
According to the Service, the alleged conduct is “unacceptable, unethical, and a clear violation of the professional code of conduct for teachers.” As a result, Mr. Tibetor has been interdicted and prohibited from entering the school premises while investigations continue.

“The safety and protection of all students remain our topmost priority. Any teacher found culpable of acts that compromise the dignity and wellbeing of students will face the full rigours of the law in accordance with the GES Code of Conduct,” the statement emphasized.
The Service assured parents, guardians, and the general public that disciplinary measures will be enforced to uphold professionalism and safeguard students in schools across the country.
GES further reiterated its commitment to promoting discipline, professionalism, and child protection in all educational institutions.
