GES Director collapses during Independence Day Parade [VIDEO]
The Ho Municipality was experiencing a similar enthusiasm to that which greeted the Black Star Square on the eve of Ghana’s Independence in 1957 as the Volta Region prepared to host the 66th Independence Day Celebration on March 6, 2023.
The Independence Day is always a historic moment for Ghanaians, and it brings back old memories showing the citizenry that there’s always HOPE to move the nation forward.
Just like every other District in Ghana observed the Independence Day ceremony today, Garu District which is one of the 15 districts in the Upper East Region of Ghana did same. The District Director of Education for the Garu district collapsed during the Independence Day Celebration.

According Adom News’ correspondent in the Upper East Region, Halidu Dasmani, the District Director collapsed as a result of standing for long time before the opening ceremony.
“There was no ambulance at that time, so he was rushed to hospital in a Toyota pickup” he said.
There is no news on his wellbeing at the moment, but we will continue to follow the story and bring you update.
