GES Announces 2024 BECE School Placement Entry and Choice Upload Schedule

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued an important directive to all Regional Directors of Education regarding the entry and uploading of 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates’ school choices.

The process, which involves both public and private school candidates, is set to commence on October 12, 2024, and end on October 16, 2024. This announcement marks a critical step in the preparations for the 2024 School Placement exercise.

According to the letter signed by Mr. Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, Acting Director of the Schools and Instructions Division of GES, candidates are required to log in to the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) online portal at www.waecinternetsolution.org using their Date of Birth (DoB) as the password. Through this platform, they will be able to select and finalize their preferred schools.

Regional Directors have been tasked with ensuring that this information is conveyed promptly to their Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education. These officers are further instructed to collaborate with District Examination Officers to oversee the timely and accurate uploading of the candidates’ choice files.
